The base material is made out an aluminum sandwich core. The cells are perfectly supported and protected by new core material. The solar module adapts to curved surfaces, with a maximum curvature of 3 cm/meter of module length.
The modules are designed for harsh marine environments and salt water. The cable outlet is bolted to the support plate and is completely sealed and 100% saltwater proof. By hermetically encapsulating the cells and carrier plate, they are well protected even against aggressive saltwater.
In the solar industry, the solar cell has prevailed with an edge length of 156mm x 156mm during recent years. So far, our basic cell is 100mm x 100mm. In order to be able to manufacture the most powerful cells in the future, we have adjusted all module formats to current cell formats, while reducing their dimensions to the absolute minimum.
Please note that the power output of solar modules comes directly from incident light intensity - not heat - which fluctuates between seasons. For optimal performance, the module should be oriented as perpendicular as possible to the sun and any shade should be avoided.
