The compact Smartfind S20AIS emergency transmitter is automatically activated when the automatic lifejacket is activated, provided it is correctly attached to the lifejacket. An AIS emergency signal together with the GPS position will be transmitted within a range of 4-5 nautical miles and will reach all vessels equipped with an AIS receiver. The message contains the AIS emergency message and a unique, factory-programmed one-time identification number.
