The GM600 is a Class A GMDSS Global Maritime Distress and Safety (VHF) radio that can be used as part of a GMDSS equipment system that must comply with SOLAS or national shipping regulations in the commercial shipping sector. The GM600 is designed to work reliably even under the harshest weather conditions at sea, meeting all Marine Equipment Directive (MED) requirements.
Even under the most adverse conditions, the GM600 functions reliably. The front panel is waterproof according to IPX7 (30 min at 1 m depth). In addition, the rear side is protected against rust thanks to its corrosion-resistant coating.

Class A DSC complies with the ITU-R M.493-13 standard
The special DSC controller permanently monitors the activity on channel 70 (DSC channel). This guarantees emergency and safety communication at all times. The special task mode facilitates DSC operation by opening a pop-up window on the display when receiving a DSC call. To send a confirmation to the calling station, just press the accept button.

4.3 inch color TFT display
The large 4.3" display impresses with a viewing angle of nearly 180°. The high-resolution screen ensures that you can easily see the information on the display, even in harsh weather conditions. Night-mode available.

Loud and clear reception
The waterproof speaker ensures optimum intelligibility of received calls. In addition, 10 W audio power is available for connecting an external speaker.

Intuitive operation
Thanks to the combination of softkeys and navigation buttons, the operation of the GM600 is particularly easy and fast. The softkeys located in the lower part of the display provide easy access to the most important functions. Furthermore, the CH16 key allows direct access to channel 16 with a single keystroke.

NOTE: For MED compliance, the GM600 must be powered by the optional DC-DC Converter PS-310. This generates a constant 12.6 V operating voltage to protect the radio from brief power failures.

NOTE: The DSC or ATIS function/menu is only available in the respective channel group. Please change to the corresponding channel group to use the respective functions.
