The SUPERGAIN ELBA VHF marine antenna with a 97 cm long black GRP radiator has been designed for use on sailboats with dark superstructures or carbon masts and comes equipped with a black ALU mounting bracket and a 20 meter RG 58 coax cable. Gain: 3 dB.

The antenna is supplied without mounting screws, PL connector cable grommets or a deck gland. These parts are optionally available.
If you want to test the completed installation, measure a resistance of 10 kOhm on the connector between the center pin and the metal sleeve.
This is not a short circuit because you measure the coil (ie a wound wire) of a small "high-frequency transformer".
The 17.5 mm outer diameter of the antenna thread tappet does not fit into the 5/8 "to 1" -14 UNS adapter (74432).
