In a Bavaria SeaTalkNG installation, the backbone cable runs through the entire boat.
Individual devices are connected to the backbone via a tee-piece with a track cable. The backbone transmits both data and voltage. The backbone should be installed in such a way that it passes through every installation site where an NG or NMEA2000 device is to be installed. The backbone cable is available in 5 m or 20 m lengths.
