When it comes to charging two or more separately operating batteries (such as starter and consumer batteries) at the same time as an alternator, battery isolators are amongst the most well-known components within the sector of traditional charging technology.
They ensure that battery systems remain constantly separated from each other, during charging and discharging. Thus, maintaining a charge on a consumer battery is possible without the starter battery being discharged at the same time.

Please note that due to the physical semiconductor properties and the amount of charging current, a voltage loss of approx. 0.8 volts can occur.
Note:
Bolts, nuts and spring washers are made out of steel. In order to avoid corrosion in humid environments, we recommend that these parts be treated with a suitable product, such as: WP100 or battery terminal grease.
